Russia to Close Land Border with Azerbaijan by March 1, 2021
Azerbaijan will close its land border with Russia by March 1, 2021, due to a rise in COVID-19 cases in both countries. This information was shared with RIA Novosti by the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia.
“Due to the sharp increase in the number of coronavirus infections in both Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as the introduction of a strict quarantine regime in Azerbaijan, the state border between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be closed for citizens’ passage until March 1, 2021,” the embassy stated.
