80-year-old Nina Davtyan, who stayed in her house in the village of Vardashat, was killed by Azerbaijani servicemen, reports Artsakh Ombudsman
The Ombudsman of Artsakh has reported that during the fact-finding mission, it was determined that the body of a woman found in the village of Vardashat, in the Hadrut region, is most likely Nina Davtyan. Her identity will be conclusively confirmed through DNA analysis.
According to Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan, “Nina was 80 years old and had remained in the village of Vardashat with her husband, Davit Davtyan, when she was killed by Azerbaijani servicemen. Preliminary examination data indicate that the body has gunshot wounds on the chest and right hand, and some bones in the head are shattered, which could result from either gunfire or the impact of a hard object. I should mention that there is still no information about the fate of her husband.”
