Surviving Soldiers Contacted Artsakh's 911, Vitali Balasanyan Assures They Are Addressing the Issue: Naira Zohrabyan
Surviving soldiers were able to call Artsakh's 911 number a few days ago. This information was shared by Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia faction, on her Facebook page.
Her post includes the following: “Almost every day, I meet with the parents and relatives of our missing soldiers and prisoners of war. During one of these meetings, many parents of the missing soldiers insisted that there is confirming information that their sons are alive and are specifically located in the forests of Vank village in the Hadrut region.”
The mother of missing soldier David Adumyan stated that approximately eight days ago, soldiers hiding in the forests were able to establish contact with Artsakh's 911 and conveyed that they needed assistance.
For the past two days, a video circulating online suggests that we indeed have soldiers trapped in the forests, who urgently require help. Today, I discussed this issue again with the parents of the missing, many of whom are currently in Stepanakert and are trying to save our surviving soldiers alongside Artsakh authorities and Russian peacekeepers.
I recently spoke with the newly appointed head of the Artsakh Security Council, Vitali Balasanyan, who assured me that he is aware of the situation and that efforts are already underway. He has also discussed the issue with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Rustam Muradov, and search operations have begun.
I also spoke with Ara Abrahamyan, president of the Union of Armenians of Russia, who is in operational contact with one of the officials appointed by Putin's administration regarding Armenian prisoners of war and the missing. I again requested that the Russian side intervene as quickly as possible to allow peacekeepers in Artsakh to rescue our soldiers for whom we have information about their approximate locations.
Balasanyan reiterated that search teams have already been formed and are working, and we hope that we will be able to save our children trapped in the blockade. Every minute is critical. Every second is crucial.
For understandable reasons, seeking a representative of the Armenian authorities on this matter is pointless, as there is absolute lawlessness in Armenia today.
Note: According to parents, the mentioned video is from the exact area where, based on their information, their sons remain trapped in the forest.
