Armenian National Security Service Director Called to Moscow Amid Demands to Remove Soros-Linked Agents
Mediaport reported yesterday that the Director of the National Security Service of Armenia, Armen Abazyan, was summoned to Moscow. The NSS confirmed our information the same day, but did not provide details on the agenda of the visit.
It has come to our attention that the NSS Director had a serious meeting with the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.
During this meeting, Abazyan was presented with a map of all Soros-linked agents in Armenia, with names listed, and he was demanded to remove them from public office within a specified tight deadline.
Additionally, Russia has requested the cancellation of the decision to remove Russian television channels from the public multiplex.
Abazyan has asked for one week to present a timeline for addressing the issues raised by Russia.
