The Adversary Has Gained Access to Cameras Installed in Homes, Shops, and Other Locations
The Personal Data Protection Agency informs: “Dear citizens, we would like to warn you about another dangerous activity carried out by the enemy, which can jeopardize personal data and more.
Recently, Azerbaijani groups have been posting videos on YouTube that were filmed using cameras installed in Armenia. This means they have managed to gain access to cameras in people’s homes, shops, and other locations, as these devices are connected to the internet and are not adequately secured.
If you are using such cameras, we urge you to take appropriate security measures (for example, choose a secure password). If you are unable to ensure the security of surveillance systems on your own, you can seek the help of professionals or, if there is no strict necessity for their use, you may consider turning them off for a while.
In case of noticing any interference with surveillance systems, it is essential to immediately inform us and the law enforcement authorities.”
