Jalal Harutyunyan's Life is Not in Danger, Says Artsakh President's Spokesman
Jalal Harutyunyan's life is not in danger, and he is currently undergoing an intensive course of treatment after sustaining injuries at one of the combat positions. This information was shared by Vahram Poghosyan, the spokesperson for the President of Artsakh, on his Facebook page.
“The Azerbaijani press has spread false information about Jalal Harutyunyan for the second time, claiming that he has been killed. I want to clarify immediately that Mr. Harutyunyan's life is not in danger, and he is currently undergoing intensive treatment after his injuries at a combat position. He will soon return to the ranks of the army. The President has entrusted the execution of these heavy duties to General Arzumanyan.”
In the context of the ongoing heavy wartime situation, there is indeed much work to be done. “Wishing you success and courage, General,” noted Vahram Poghosyan.
Earlier, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, had informed that Jalal Harutyunyan was relieved from his position as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh due to injuries sustained at a combat position. In another decree, Major General Mikael Albert Arzumanyan was appointed as the Minister of Defense – Commander of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh, and he was granted the military rank of Lieutenant General.
