17 Armenian Prisoners of War Detained in Azerbaijan, Says Rafael Vardanyan
Seventeen Armenian prisoners of war are currently detained in Azerbaijan. Rafael Vardanyan, Head of the Criminalistics Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, made this announcement during a press conference on October 27.
“We are working with the Armenian representation in the European Court of Human Rights and the interdepartmental commission of the Ministry of Defense regarding urgent measures for these individuals, concerning medical assistance, prevention of torture, and more,” stated Vardanyan. He added that information regarding two additional individuals is being confirmed.
