Moscow Calls on Turkey to Facilitate Ceasefire Regime Maintenance: Lavrov
Moscow is urging Ankara to leverage its influence to halt the fire and initiate substantive negotiations aimed at resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Lavrov reminded that after 11 hours of negotiations in Moscow on October 10, the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, with the participation of representatives from the United States and France, issued a joint statement regarding the establishment of a ceasefire regime and the resumption of maximally substantive negotiations.
“We are encouraging our Turkish counterparts to purposefully use their influence in support of the aforementioned line,” Lavrov stated.
