All those who have abandoned their entrusted post shall know they will face public condemnation
We must understand that this is indeed a fateful moment, and none of us, absolutely none, can hope that forces will emerge to resolve this issue. There is only one option for resolving this question, which is that every representative of the Armenian people should be as committed to this agenda as the soldiers standing their ground, even at the cost of their lives. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Facebook live broadcast.
“We must acknowledge that we have lion-hearted boys. And we must properly appreciate them. Of course, you don’t share pilaf in wartime; war brings with it chaotic situations, and so on. And within our society, there should be the mentality that anyone who flees the battlefield for any reason should face sharp public condemnation. They can provide any justification, but if we are standing before this agenda, we must have a national consensus on this issue. All those who have abandoned their entrusted post, their position for any reason, should know that they will face public condemnation, and no justification will be accepted,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister urged the Armenian people to continue to fight against Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression. “We all must be ready to stand, but that does not mean we should not be prepared for compromise. On the contrary, in order to have the opportunity for compromise, we must stand firm, because Azerbaijan wants to agree only to the capitulation of Artsakh and declares that it will go all the way. To enable constructive dialogue, we must stand firm. If as a nation, in Armenia and the diaspora, both men and women stand together, we will be able to engage in constructive dialogue with Azerbaijan; if we don’t stand, then there won’t even be a place to escape to. Because, essentially, we are at the threshold of our interests,” he added.
