Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan Meets with Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group
On October 23, during a working visit to the United States, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group: Igor Popov (Russia), Andrew Schofer (USA), and Stefan Visconti (France), as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The interlocutors discussed the operational situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed deep concern over Azerbaijan's violation of the ceasefire agreements reached on October 10 and 17, emphasizing that Azerbaijan's intentions to resolve the conflict through military means pose a challenge to the entire region.
The parties reaffirmed the need for an immediate establishment of a sustainable ceasefire, which would be maintained through verification mechanisms, concerning the agreements reached on halting military operations. The necessity of continuing the peace process exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship was highlighted.
