International Media Reports on the Start of Negotiations Regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh Issue
International media outlets have reported the commencement of negotiations regarding the resolution of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, set to take place in Geneva on October 8 and in Moscow on October 12. These reports cite French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, informed Armenpress that there is currently no scheduled bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We (the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group—representatives from France, Russia, and the USA) are in daily contact with each other. No progress has been made on this issue yet. Meetings will take place tomorrow in Geneva, followed by further meetings in Moscow,” Jean-Yves Le Drian stated during his appearance before members of the French National Assembly's International Affairs Committee.
The French minister expressed hope that it would be possible to restore negotiations between the parties.
