Conscription Sergeant Exhibits Absolute Heroism, Deceives Enemy and Retakes Position
Our combat spirit is very high, and I must express gratitude to our people; there is an incredible strong spirit, a nationwide uprising that is very high, from the troops to the population. This was stated by Artur Hovhannisyan in a special broadcast on Public Television.
Hovhannisyan recounted the actions of soldiers who stood out for their heroism during combat operations. “In the area of the Mrav mountain range, an ordinary conscript sergeant displayed absolute heroism and tactical literacy. When necessary, he retreated from his position, realizing he could not hold under the influence of superior forces, deceived the enemy, waited for the right moment, and launched a counterattack to retake the position,” he said.
He also mentioned a well-known position where an officer, who was a private soldier during the April War, is now a company commander and has displayed absolute heroism along with his personnel, causing significant damage to the enemy.
“We are in the midst of a fifth generation war, with partial exceptions,” he said. Artur Hovhannisyan remarked that striking Stepanakert can be described as desperate efforts from Azerbaijan. “We have not yet unleashed our full potential,” he stated and noted that we do not strike civilian populations. He emphasized that the army is not lacking in either food supplies or necessities.
