Artsakh Must Participate in Negotiations, Ruben Rubinyan
We have always stated that we are ready for discussions, but if we want them to be effective, several conditions must be met, said Ruben Rubinyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, in a conversation with journalists regarding the issue of returning to negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
“First, there must be an appropriate atmosphere; it is impossible to have substantive negotiations when the opposing side is shooting at you or threatening you with gunfire. It is impossible to determine the fate of Artsakh without its participation. Artsakh must participate in the negotiations,” Rubinyan emphasized.
Regarding the question of whether a meeting is planned in the near future between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ruben Rubinyan replied, “News about these meetings is announced by all parties. At this moment, I do not have such information.”
