If tests show that Navalny was poisoned, an investigation will be conducted. Peskov
The Kremlin has been informed by the media about the serious condition of blogger Alexei Navalny, who is receiving care from the best doctors for his health. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, according to TASS.
“Yes, the media reports have indicated that he is in serious condition. The doctors are doing everything possible, the best doctors in Omsk are fighting for his life,” he said.
“Without a doubt, like any of our citizens, we wish him a speedy recovery,” Peskov added.
According to him, if examinations show that Navalny was poisoned, an investigation will be undertaken.
When asked whether the President of Russia has been informed about Navalny's condition, he responded that media publications are available to everyone.
In response to a question about whether Navalny's condition is related to his attitude towards the country's leadership, Peskov stated that the current government has many critics, including among Russian citizens.
“Certainly, if anything threatens the life of a Russian citizen, it is a serious situation. Both doctors and law enforcement treat any citizen’s situation with utmost seriousness,” Peskov concluded.
