Notorious Azerbaijani Mobster Lotu Guli Killed in Antalya, Turkey
Notorious Azerbaijani mob leader Nadir Salifov, better known as Lotu Guli, has been killed in a failed assassination attempt in Antalya, Turkey, according to Minval.az, referencing Turkish media.
The report details that Salifov was critically injured by four gunshots and was rushed to the intensive care unit of the local hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.
Turkish media state that the shooter was another Azerbaijani criminal figure, known as Khan Ahmedlinskii, who was dining with Salifov at the time of the attack. The Turkish police have arrested the assailant on the Antalya-Denizli highway.
It is noted that Salifov had previously survived assassination attempts; in February of this year, Istanbul police arrested 17 individuals who were planning a hit on the well-known 'thief in law.'
