As previously reported, the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny is in the intensive care unit of a hospital. According to his press secretary Kira Yarmysh, the politician's health deteriorated sharply during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. The plane made an emergency landing in Omsk, where he was hospitalized in an unconscious state.

“A year ago, Alexei was poisoned while in prison. It is evident that the same has happened now,” Kira Yarmysh wrote today on her Twitter account. According to her, Navalny was poisoned by mixing something into his tea. “That is the only thing he drank in the morning,” Yarmysh added.

According to Interfax, the S7 airline confirmed that Navalny did not eat or drink anything on the plane.
