The Reprofiled Artashat Medical Center Returns to Normal Operations

The Artashat Medical Center has returned to its normal operations. Since March 31, the center had been reprofiled as an infectious disease hospital, treating patients infected with coronavirus, according to the Ararat Regional Administration.

To familiarize himself with the operations of the medical center, Ararat Governor Garik Sargsyan visited today and met with the medical staff. The governor expressed gratitude for successfully overcoming this serious challenge faced by the country.

“Thank you for fighting shoulder to shoulder. The reality has shown that our healthcare system can combat all types of viruses, and we are capable of responding promptly and finding solutions. Thanks to the constant active work of the hospital, the Government, the Ministry of Health, and the regional administration during these difficult months, we were able to overcome this challenging period. And I am confident that we are ready to face any issues in the future,” Governor Garik Sargsyan stated.

Haik Hambardzumyan, the director of the center, also expressed his gratitude for the team's dedicated and vigorous work. “During our hard and difficult work, we always feel your support, Mr. Sargsyan, which greatly helps us. We are prepared to continue fulfilling our mission with honor,” said Haik Hambardzumyan.

It is noteworthy that before returning to normal operations, the hospital was completely disinfected, and all anti-epidemic measures are being implemented with utmost strictness. A separate building of the medical center has been designated as a quarantine area, where citizens showing the first symptoms of coronavirus will be temporarily housed.
