I Am Following the Rumors About My Imaginary Resignation with High Spirits
I am following with high spirits the rumors spread by certain media outlets serving former corrupt officials regarding my imaginary "resignation." This was noted by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan on his Facebook page, addressing news about his resignation.
"I am following with high spirits the rumors spread by certain media outlets serving former corrupt officials regarding my imaginary 'resignation.' But what is even more amusing is the reaction of certain groups around us to these rumors. Groups that, within the confines of their limited mindset, have been trying to obstruct our normal work from day one.
Dear Yerevan residents, you who have been supporters of our team and me personally throughout these months, can be assured that the vote I received from you, while being a tremendous honor, also carries great responsibility. Therefore, we will continue to serve until the end, in favor of our city and in fulfillment of the values proclaimed by the revolution. Together, step by step, we are solving and will continue to solve the issues ahead of us. As for those hoping for the opposite, I suggest they choose other fields to promote their personal and group interests."
