Clashes in Beirut Leave 42 Injured, 10 Hospitalized
Lebanese army and special police forces removed protesters from the central area of Beirut on Tuesday. This was reported by TASS, citing the Lebanese Red Cross.
It was noted that 42 people were injured from both sides in the clashes, with 10 individuals hospitalized, while others received medical assistance on-site.
Authorities used tear gas and rubber bullets after aggressive activists hurled stones in their direction. It has already been reported that opposition movement activists in Beirut launched an attack on the metal and concrete barricades set up along the road leading from the Omar Mosque to the Place d'Étoile, where the parliamentary palace is located.
