60-Year-Old Woman's Criminal Activities Affect 17 Citizens; Criminal Case Initiated
Reports have been received at the Armavir division of the police stating that a company engaged in the sale of household appliances on Shahuynan street in Armavir city has abused the trust of citizens. According to preliminary data obtained during the investigation, the director of the enterprise, a 60-year-old resident of Yerevan, along with her 29-year-old son, issued a statement claiming that the organization provides urgent loans to citizens.
Several residents of the Armavir region applied and signed contracts to purchase household appliances from various stores using an installment payment method, leaving the goods as collateral with the company in exchange for receiving money. The citizens purchased the equipment; however, the organization failed to provide the payments due under the contract for the equipment taken.
As a result of the explanatory work by law enforcement, the director of the enterprise and her son reported to the Armavir police division. During the preparation of materials, it was revealed that 17 citizens had suffered from their criminal activities. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and circumstances are being clarified.
