Lavrov Meets with Representatives of Russian Armenian and Azerbaijani Communities
On July 23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with influential representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities, including Ara Abrahamyan, president of the Union of Armenians of Russia, and God Nisanov, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kyiv Square organization.
During the meeting, the role of both communities in maintaining interethnic peace and accord within the Russian Federation was discussed. The importance of joint explanatory and educational efforts aimed at preventing and excluding violations of the rights of Russian citizens on national grounds was emphasized.
Additionally, the necessity for constructive efforts from both communities to contribute to the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku was stressed.
