Vehicle Owners to Be Fined for Parking on Sidewalks for Sale or Rent
The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has adopted in the first reading a package of bills amending the Law on Local Self-Government and the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Armenia.
This package, authored by deputies Mikayel Hayrapetyan, Nikolay Baghdasaryan, and Narek Zeynalyan, aims to address the issue of parking vehicles on sidewalks for sale and rent.
Nikolay Baghdasaryan pointed out that there are many instances where vehicles are sold or rented on sidewalks, and there are places where sidewalks have turned into 'markets' for automobile sales.
The draft law suggests relocating these 'markets' to other designated areas that will be specified by the community or economic operators, which will conform to the bill's criteria, where individuals or entities will be able to sell or rent their vehicles under more favorable conditions.
