"Requested to Dismiss the Claim as 'Country's First Brother-in-Law' Position Does Not Exist" - Hratchya Hakobyan
Member of the National Assembly from the "My Step" faction, Hratchya Hakobyan, has stated on his Facebook page: "Dear fellow citizens, as you know, I have submitted an application to the court regarding the well-known 'smuggling of tobacco' case, requesting that individuals who claimed that I or my family members had been involved in any illegal activities they presented publicly retract their statements and apologize for the insults. Recently, one of these individuals submitted a reply to the court, asking for my claim to be dismissed on the grounds that, I quote from his application: '...the position of 'Country's First Brother-in-Law' does not exist, therefore I could have meant anyone, and in this case, I did not refer to the claimant (Hratchya Hakobyan).'
This is how they spread false information, and then, when held accountable, they try to backtrack on their statements, or in other words, ‘заднй днмет’ (back down) their claims. Nevertheless, I hope to meet with everyone in court. Attached is the response presented by one of these individuals as part of their application."
