580 Million AMD Bonuses Granted to 132 MPs, Says Ararat Mirzoyan
580 million AMD in bonuses has been distributed to 132 members of parliament over a period of 14 months, stated the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, in a press briefing today.
"I once calculated it, broadly speaking, with rough mathematical estimations, it amounts to about 240 thousand AMD per month. We can consider it as tax or non-tax; this is a matter of political stance. We have not concealed our position and have not hesitated to admit that we consider it a justified step," said Ararat Mirzoyan.
It’s worth noting that the minimum monthly wage in Armenia is 68,000 AMD, while the minimum pension is 26,500 AMD.
