Tension in Yeghenut Village as About 200 Gather

A tense situation is currently unfolding in the Yeghenut community of the Armavir region. Around 200 people have taken to the streets with shovels and sticks to prevent the former community leader from regaining his position.

In an interview with ArmDaily.am, the acting community leader Razmik Mkrtchyan stated that the demonstrators demand that the former village head not return. “The Court of Appeals has partially recognized the governor's decision as invalid, but has left the claim regarding his return rejected. The court adopted a vague decision that no one understands, and this has led to such a problem. I do not know who is trying to bring him back and for what reason. The regional administration has appealed to the Court of Cassation, but the case has not been accepted for review,” he said.
