Torosyan Visits Vedi and Artashat Medical Centers

Today, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, visited the Ararat Province. Along with the minister, we visited the Vedi Medical Center and the Artashat Medical Center,” wrote Garik Sargsyan, the governor of Ararat Province, on his Facebook page.

He reported that during the visit, they spoke with the directors of the medical centers and the medical staff, inquiring about the existing problems and the ongoing treatment of patients with coronavirus. They also discussed the technical capabilities of the medical centers.

According to the data presented by the governor, the Ministry of Health has enhanced the central oxygen supply system of the Vedi Medical Center five times, added 32 oxygen points in the patient rooms, and replaced the old generator supplying electricity with a new automated one.

The laboratory diagnostic department of the medical center has been technically equipped with state-of-the-art portable digital X-ray equipment. An installation of an elevator is also planned in the near future.
