Even the President Cannot Save the Government, as the Law is Not in the Official Gazette
LLC MP Mane Tandilyan made a post on her Facebook page stating, "The President of the Republic considers the increase in property tax to be premature, noting that he has no authority to return the law to parliament, and today he was forced to sign it. The President is at least not being sincere in his reasoning, as the law could not have come into effect on January 1, 2021, if signed just one day later, which was the reason for the government's repeated emergency session to increase taxes.
By the way, the same process occurred last year when the President signed the law proposing tax increases even from Switzerland.
P.S. It seems that even the President is not saving the government, as the law has not yet been published in the official bulletin, and therefore the law published in July cannot come into effect from January 1, 2021," Tandilyan wrote, also sharing the law itself.
