A Team of 11 Doctors from Italy Arrives in Armenia with Necessary Health Supplies
As part of international cooperation in the fight against the novel coronavirus, a humanitarian mission consisting of 11 healthcare workers from the Italian Civil Protection Agency arrived in Armenia from Italy on June 26, facilitated by the EU Emergency Response Coordination Center, the Italian Embassy in Armenia, and the World Health Organization.
Along with the medical personnel, essential healthcare supplies necessary for the mission were also transported on the same flight.
According to Armenspress, the medical team was welcomed at the airport by Anahit Avanesyan, the Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia, Avet Adonts, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vincenzo del Monaco, the Ambassador of Italy in Armenia, Andrea Victorini, head of the EU Delegation in Armenia, and Maria Karapetyan, head of the Armenia-Italy friendship group in the National Assembly.
The mission will commence activities in Armenia for three weeks.
