Illegal Logging Resurfaces in Dilijan National Park
The Environmentalist Home NGO reports via Facebook that illegal logging activities have intensified once again in Dilijan National Park. The images shared were taken in the gorge along the road to Haghartsin Monastery.
“Previously, we discovered three more cut and several broken and stolen trees within the national park's Dilijan section. This information has been relayed to the police and other relevant authorities,” the organization states.
“We urge the rangers of Dilijan National Park to approach the sacred task of nature preservation with greater responsibility. After all, each cut and stolen tree is a theft of health and clean air from our children and future generations. It is time to put an end to deforestation and the collaboration with tree thieves. Otherwise, all those responsible will face consequences,” the post emphasizes.
