The Supreme Judicial Council Decides to Contact the Police Based on Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan's Request
On June 19, 2023, a request was submitted to the President of the Supreme Judicial Council by Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan of the Court of Appeals of the Republic of Armenia. In his application, he indicated that as a result of a decision made on June 18, 2020, numerous posts containing insults and threats directed at him and his family members started to circulate on various news websites and social media, including messages sent to his personal page.
This information was disclosed by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia.
For the discussion of the received application, Judge A. Nikoghosyan was invited to the Supreme Judicial Council on June 19 at 14:00. After hearing the judge and discussing the received application, the Supreme Judicial Council decided to contact the police of the Republic of Armenia, basing their actions on the application to take appropriate measures.
