City Hall Discusses Keeping One Open Kindergarten in Each Administrative District of Yerevan
The Yerevan City Hall is discussing the possibility of leaving only one open kindergarten in each administrative district of the capital during the state of emergency caused by the coronavirus. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan during a briefing held on June 16, noting that the discussion is related to the small number of children attending kindergartens.
"We have 30,500 children enrolled in kindergartens, of which currently, 1,800 to 1,900 children are attending. The feasibility of keeping the kindergartens open and the question of leaving one kindergarten in each administrative district is already being discussed," said Marutyan.
