Criminal Case Initiated Following Incident Between Aleksanyan's Nephew and Police Officers
A criminal case has been opened concerning the incident that occurred on June 8 between Artak Aleksanyan, the nephew of former Republican Party MP Samvel Aleksanyan, and police officers. This was reported to 24News by the acting head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee, Rima Yeganyan.
“The criminal case was initiated on June 10, 2020, under the first part of Article 258 and the first part of Article 316 of the RA Criminal Code, on charges of hooliganism and use of violence against a representative of the authorities. Measures are being taken to ensure a comprehensive, complete, and objective investigation of all the circumstances of the incident,” stated Yeganyan.
