Kotayk Governor Invites to Hiking Event

In a bid to invigorate and promote tourism in Kotayk Province, Governor Romanos Petrosyan has initiated a unique event titled “Hiking with the Governor to Discover the Hidden Treasures of Kotayk.” This was reported by the Kotayk Governor's Office.

During the event, the governor will assume the role of a guide, presenting one of Kotayk's hidden gems, Tegheniq, to journalists, bloggers, and individuals and organizations engaged in the domestic and inbound tourism sectors.

Prior to the hike, a candlelight ceremony is scheduled to take place at the newly built St. Martyrs Church in Tegheniq, after which the main part of the program will commence.

Participants will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with exclusive food and drinks produced in Kotayk Province, with hospitality arrangements to be organized.

An informal discussion with the governor is also planned, addressing existing issues in Kotayk Province, steps towards resolving them, and upcoming projects.

These types of events will be held periodically, aimed not only at forming new and undiscovered tourist routes in Kotayk but also at developing solutions to the issues facing the sector.

The first such event is set to take place on June 6 of this year. Interested individuals are requested to fill out the attached application by June 2 at 18:00, considering the state of emergency regulations in Armenia, which limit the number of participants. Preference will be given to those who most closely match the categories mentioned above. Participation is free of charge.

Note: During the event, all norms set by the health department will be strictly observed, with masks, gloves, and disinfectants provided.
