Turbulence and Restructuring in the NSS: Who is Set to Fill Vacant Positions
The "Zhamanak" newspaper reports: "Recent changes and personnel shifts within the National Security Service (NSS) continue. "Zhamanak" had previously noted that the head of the NSS investigative department had submitted a resignation request.
Yesterday, we learned that two department heads from the Investigative Department also tendered their resignations. According to information we have received, this wave of personnel changes is expected to extend to the NSS economic department as well.
According to the same sources, there is an initiative to review and assess the suitability of all those occupying leadership positions within the NSS. At this stage, the effectiveness of each individual’s work is under scrutiny, and each one could be dismissed at any moment.
This indicates that there will soon be numerous vacant positions within the NSS, which, however, are set to be filled by recruits from the prosecutorial system. Several prosecutors are reportedly preparing to transition to the NSS, contingent upon a review of salaries."
