Pashinyan Asked Law Enforcement to Initiate Criminal Proceedings Against Me, Vanetsyan Claims
“I will use the Prime Minister’s favorite words. According to circulating rumors, Nikol Pashinyan had a very bad meeting yesterday with representatives of the law enforcement system, during which he demanded that they initiate criminal proceedings against me on any pretext and subject me to criminal liability,” said former NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan in an interview with ArmNews.
According to Vanetsyan, this explains the fact that the prime minister's press secretary made a statement around midnight, in which his name was also mentioned.
“The representatives of the law enforcement system did not refuse to carry out certain actions against me, but stated that, as a result of the operational investigative actions conducted, no illegal acts were found in Arthur Vanetsyan's activities,” Vanetsyan noted, adding: “As a result, the prime minister responded that if you cannot solve this issue, I will solve it myself. And late at night, at around 12, the press secretary's statement was released, which very clearly and directly instructs law enforcement agencies to take measures to uncover these crimes,” he elaborated.
According to the former NSS director, the aim of all this is to distract public attention from very important issues.
