Georgia Extends Air Traffic Ban with All Countries Until May 10
The Georgian authorities have extended the ban on air traffic with all countries until the end of the state of emergency. According to RIA Novosti, this was announced by the country's Civil Aviation Agency.
"The ban on regular air traffic has been extended until May 10, 2020. The Civil Aviation Agency has already informed the airlines that were operating flights to Georgia about this decision," the statement from the agency said.
The Georgian government had previously decided to extend the state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic until May 10. In addition, entry and exit from four major cities — Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, and Rustavi — has been prohibited. Currently, a curfew is also in effect in the country from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
As of the latest data, the number of COVID-19 cases in Georgia has reached 336, with 74 recoveries and three fatalities.
