Major Accident: Mercedes Overturns in Aragatsotn Province, Several Injured

On April 13, a major traffic accident occurred in Aragatsotn Province. Around 18:40, the driver of a Mercedes vehicle with license plate 35 TQ 446 lost control while driving on the 3rd kilometer of the Hartavan-Yernjapat road, veering into the oncoming lane under unknown circumstances. The vehicle collided with an earth embankment and stones, overturning and coming to rest outside the roadway.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, both the driver and a passenger were severely injured. They were extracted from the vehicle by the emergency responders from the Aragatsotn Provincial Rescue Service and were provided first aid on-site by a team of doctors from the ‘Aparan’ Medical Center, who subsequently transported one of the injured individuals to a hospital in Yerevan.

The police and investigative department are working to establish the identities of the victims and determine who the driver was. By order of the investigator, the vehicle is being moved to a secured area of the Aparan police station.
