Due to Coronavirus, the U.S. Suspends Regular Visa Services Worldwide
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the United States is suspending regular visa services worldwide. This was announced by the U.S. Department of State.
“As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, starting March 20, the U.S. Department of State is temporarily suspending regular visa services at embassies and consulates worldwide. The issuance of all immigrant and non-immigrant visas has been halted,” the statement reads.
It is currently unknown when visa services will resume. As of the latest data, more than 16,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the U.S. and 219 individuals have died from the virus.
