OSCE Suspends Monitoring Due to Coronavirus Situation
The Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk, has issued a statement:
“The current situation resulting from the spread of COVID-19 has led to the closure of international borders across the region, restrictions on international and local travel, as well as limitations on face-to-face interactions aimed at reducing the risk of infection. Given these circumstances and after consultations with the parties, the OSCE monitoring activities will be suspended until the restrictions are lifted. At the same time, I will continue to maintain communication with the relevant military authorities,” the statement reads.
