1 Ton of Preventive and Disinfectant Medical Supplies Imported from Diaspora to Armenia

At the request of the Minister of Health of Armenia, the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs has organized the import of 1 ton of preventive and disinfectant supplies to Armenia in order to curb the spread of the new type of coronavirus. This was stated by Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Prime Minister's Office, during a press conference.

"In the last two weeks, our office has also become involved in the import of medications and medical supplies from the diaspora. At the request of the Minister of Health, we have organized the import of nearly 1 ton of preventive, disinfectant, protective, and various medical supplies to Armenia to make the epidemic manageable. By the beginning of the week, all those supplies were in Armenia. This process is ongoing as long as we have needs. We have individuals and organizations in the medical field willing to help us, and it is only natural that we should continue to work and bring as many similar products to Armenia as possible," said the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.

Sinanyan expressed gratitude to the Armenian Medical International Committee (AMIC), doctors Shahen Chkhirdmian and Vigen Sepilian, and the Armenia Fund, who helped deliver all medical supplies to Armenia. He emphasized that Armenia does not lack the willingness of international partners to assist.
