Restrictions on Public Catering, Trade and Entertainment Centers Announced by the Deputy Prime Minister

Following the declaration of a state of emergency across Armenia for one month, the Deputy Prime Minister's (Tigran Avinyan's team) order stipulates that the list of allowed goods, which includes the transport of medicines to and from Armenia, including to EAEU countries, is allowed by the State Revenue Committee based on the written agreement of the respective Armenian Ministers of Health and Economy regarding the types and quantities of goods to be transported.

This is established by the government's decision to declare a state of emergency. Other restrictions on land and air communications across the borders of the Republic of Armenia may be enforced by the Deputy Prime Minister's decision. In addition, during the state of emergency, restrictions are planned regarding certain types of economic activity and the provision of services, as well as the operation of educational institutions.

Specifically, under the Deputy Prime Minister's order, the operation of public catering facilities, trade, and multifunctional entertainment centers is prohibited in relevant communities. Throughout the state of emergency, the educational process is suspended in public, community, and private educational institutions (including preschool), initial vocational (craft), secondary vocational, and higher educational institutions, as well as organizations conducting extracurricular educational activities (children's creative and aesthetic centers, music, art schools, clubs, sports schools, health camps, and other organizations providing extracurricular education), along with international educational institutions operating in the Republic of Armenia, except for those institutions that have the capability for distance learning.

Organizations licensed to provide medical assistance and services (regardless of ownership) will carry out medical assistance and service based on the instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
