Ukraine Completely Halts Air Travel
Due to the threats posed by the coronavirus, Ukraine will completely halt air travel starting March 17. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a special video message to the citizens of the country. Zelensky urged Ukrainians abroad to return home within three days.
It is worth noting that yesterday it was announced that entry for foreign nationals will be closed in Ukraine due to the coronavirus in 48 hours. An announcement was made that Ukrainian citizens currently abroad will have the opportunity to return home. The authorities urged Ukrainians to refrain from foreign travel and, if possible, limit movement within the country as well.
As of the latest data, there are over 130,000 confirmed cases of infection worldwide. While many have recovered, over 5,000 people have died. Just two days ago, it was reported in China that the virus is starting to decline; however, during that period, 3,189 people have died and 65,500 have recovered.
