«Hraparak»: Armenian Delegation Did Not Travel to Paris Due to Coronavirus
«Hraparak» newspaper writes: Due to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping across the world, official visits are also being canceled. The meetings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) scheduled to take place in Paris from March 9-25 have been canceled. Members of the Armenian delegation to PACE, whose trips had been planned in advance, did not travel to Paris.
Furthermore, members of the Armenian delegation to PACE received notifications about a month ago, stating that if they had visited China or Iran recently, they should refrain from participating in the PACE plenary session scheduled for April 20 in Strasbourg. It is also possible that if the situation worsens, the plenary sessions may also be canceled.
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan was also supposed to participate in the 64th session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in the USA from March 8-15. However, the organizers have canceled the event due to the virus.
