Armen Tavadian and Varujan Mkrtchyan's Case Sent to Prosecutor's Office
The criminal case against Armen Tavadian, the owner of the 5th Channel, and co-defendant Varujan Mkrtchyan has been sent to the Prosecutor's Office for approval, according to sources from the Special Investigative Service.
It is noteworthy that Armen Tavadian is accused of bribing one of the victims in the March 1 case to provide false testimony in court. Testimony against him has been given by another alleged supporter of Robert Kocharian, Varujan Mkrtchyan, who was initially arrested but later released. Mkrtchyan is also accused under the first paragraph of part 4 of Article 340 of the RA Criminal Code; however, the investigator from the Special Investigative Service has not filed a motion for his detention.
