Nikol Pashinyan Discusses the Coronavirus Situation in a Facebook Live Broadcast
We are receiving signals that people who have booked rooms in Tsaghkadzor hotels are canceling their reservations, while some are leaving Tsaghkadzor. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Facebook live broadcast on March 1, regarding the current situation surrounding the coronavirus.
“Our compatriot, who has been diagnosed with a case of coronavirus, currently does not have a fever or any complaints. He is in an infectious diseases hospital, but no treatment is being performed as there is no need for it. He is in a room with his wife, sitting and spending time there. None of our isolated compatriots have a fever or any symptoms; they are simply in isolation. Currently, 31 citizens are in isolation. I want to thank our compatriots for their cooperative behavior,” he emphasized.
According to the Prime Minister, isolating people in the Tsaghkadzor “Golden Palace” hotel does not make the city risky. “It is already known that they have been accommodated in the ‘Golden Palace’ hotel. We are doing everything to provide them with dignified conditions, but we are receiving signals that people who have booked rooms in Tsaghkadzor hotels are canceling their reservations, while some are leaving Tsaghkadzor. I just want to confidently assure that there is no need for such actions because the citizens who have been isolated in Tsaghkadzor do not change the situation, meaning that the epidemiological situation in Tsaghkadzor has not worsened as a result. These people are under supervision and cannot have any contact,” he added.
