Georg Petrosyan Proposes Amendments Against Robert Kocharyan
According to the "Zhamanak" newspaper, Member of Parliament Georg Petrosyan is proposing an amendment to the Criminal Code of Armenia that would eliminate the statute of limitations for individuals convicted of crimes specified in Articles 300.1, 384, 386-391, and 393-397.
This implies that Petrosyan's proposed draft seeks to exempt crimes related to the overthrow of the constitutional order from the statute of limitations. Currently, Robert Kocharyan is the only individual accused of violating the constitutional order, leading to the conclusion that the Prosperous Armenia party’s Petrosyan aims to ensure that Kocharyan does not find freedom based on the statute of limitations.
