First Cases of Coronavirus Reported in Belarus and Lithuania

The Ministry of Health of Belarus announced on February 28 that the first case of infection with the new type of coronavirus has been confirmed in the country. It has been reported that the infected individual is a citizen of Iran. The student, diagnosed with COVID-19, arrived from Baku on February 22.

The Ministry of Health of Lithuania also reported the first case of infection with the new type of coronavirus in the country. The corresponding announcement was published on the official website of the department on February 28. The virus was detected in a woman who returned from Verona on February 24. She is currently hospitalized in a clinic in the city of Šiauliai, as reported by TASS.
