South Ossetia Closes Border with Georgia
Due to the coronavirus, South Ossetia is closing all border crossings with Georgia. This information has been reported by the press service of the president's office.
“In order to prevent an outbreak of COVID-19 in the territory of South Ossetia, the Security Council has decided to completely close all border crossings with Georgia until further notice,” the statement said.
It is noteworthy that yesterday the Ministry of Health of Georgia announced that the first case of coronavirus infection had been identified. The infected is a 50-year-old man who had arrived in Georgia from Azerbaijan and had previously been in Iran.
