No Cases of Coronavirus Infection: All Test Results from Artsakh Negative to Date
Various measures have been implemented in the Republic of Artsakh to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This information was shared by the information and public relations department of the office of the State Minister of Artsakh.
Taking into account the recent increase in cases of acute respiratory infections and flu in the republic, as well as reported cases of coronavirus in neighboring countries, a series of measures have been carried out under the leadership of the State Minister of Artsakh and with the involvement of various departments. The aim is to prevent the penetration of the coronavirus and maintain a stable epidemiological situation in the republic.
- Discussions have been organized regarding the epidemiological situation of the virus and the measures being taken in the Republic of Artsakh, with the participation of representatives from concerned organizations.
- There is operational communication established between the Ministries of Health of Artsakh and Armenia. A group has been dispatched from the Ministry to its counterpart in Armenia to familiarize itself with the latest updates, receive information about new preventive measures, and acquire necessary materials.
- According to the agreement between the Ministries of Health of Artsakh and Armenia, responses to the samples sent from Artsakh are being received promptly. As per the data provided by the Ministry of Health, all results to date have been negative. No cases of coronavirus infection have been identified.
Monitoring is being conducted daily in general and preschool educational institutions. According to current regulations, if absenteeism exceeds 25%, there is a necessity to temporarily suspend operations. As of today, the educational process in 93 out of 232 schools has been suspended along with all preschool activities to prevent the further spread of acute respiratory infections.
The Republic of Artsakh is sufficiently equipped with necessary medicines and medical supplies.
A guidelines document has been developed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture, the Ministry of Youth Issues, and the Ministry of Tourism, advising the population to refrain from business and tourism trips to China and countries with reported coronavirus cases, as well as from organizing tourism visits to Artsakh from those countries.
Explanatory work continues among citizens to avoid the coronavirus and acute respiratory infections, emphasizing not to jeopardize their health. The Ministry of Health regularly publishes information on official and social platforms.
