Not Denied but Confirmed: The Fact of Hitting a Minor has Been Established
Attorney Tigran Atanesyan has addressed David Sanasaryan's Facebook post, in which he claims that the expertise related to the child's accident has proven his innocence.
“The suspended head of the RA Police, Mr. D. Sanasaryan, made a post on Facebook yesterday stating that the criminal case regarding the minor's hit-and-run has been terminated because the expert confirmed his innocence: ‘I have never hit the child with my car; the child, due to his recklessness, made contact with the vehicle from the side and fell.’ As the representative of the minor victim, I must inform the public that the criminal case documents do not deny but rather confirm the fact of D. Sanasaryan hitting minor A. G.,” wrote Atanesyan.
“The conclusion from the judicial auto-technical expertise simply found that he technically had no opportunity to prevent the hit-and-run. The victim's side did not agree with this conclusion, the expert was questioned, and subsequently, a request was submitted for additional expertise, which, judging by D. Sanasaryan’s post, was likely rejected, and the criminal case proceedings were terminated. The victim's side has not received the decision, and as soon as it is received, it will be appealed.”
“I would like to remind you that as a result of the hit-and-run, minor A. G. has sustained moderate bodily injuries. P.S. I will present more detailed information about the situation, namely the strange and incomprehensible approaches of the judicial auto-technical expert, later, once the decision is received,” Atanesyan wrote.
Earlier, David Sanasaryan announced on his Facebook page that the expertise regarding the child’s accident has proven his innocence and that the criminal case has been terminated. “I do not want to repeat what false and vile assurances were made by the notorious scoundrels known to all of you; I simply want to reiterate once again: I did not hit the child with my car; the child, due to his recklessness, touched the side of my vehicle and fell,” Sanasaryan wrote.
